YMCA Montrose – Who we are, what we do

We’ve welcomed lots of new followers recently, so we thought it was the perfect time to introduce ourselves!

👋 We are YMCA Montrose, a small but hugely impactful local charity. While many people know us as MoHUB (Montrose Community HUB), the name we’ve used locally for the past six years, we remain an independent charity only affiliated with YMCA Scotland.

💙 For more than 80 years, we’ve been providing high-quality youth work in Montrose, creating safe, supportive and fun programmes in a space where young people can learn, build friendships, develop new skills and thrive.

🥫 Our FoodHUB project provides essential food support and signposting services for some of the most vulnerable members of our community, helping people access the support they need when they need it most.

🤝 Community is at the heart of everything we do. Alongside delivering our own projects, we work closely with a wide range of local organisations and provide a welcoming space where vital services can be delivered. Our facility supports organisations including:

 ✅ Skills Development Scotland and 16+ education and training support

 ✅ Parkinson’s Montrose

 ✅ Wellbean Community Café

 ✅ Montrose Connections

 ✅ Voluntary Action Angus

 ✅ And many more community groups and services

🌱 We are proud to be a hub that brings people together, strengthens community connections, and helps ensure local people can access the best support available.
